Saldos!!

Saldos de Verão.

Aquela altura do ano em que as lojas viram feiras, em que as peças de roupa que nos pareciam tão bonitinhas e arrumadinhas são tratadas como um trapo e postas de qualquer maneira pelas consumidoras e até pelas lojistas que não conseguem dar vazão a tudo e acabam por atirar os braços ao ar e dizem "ah, que se lixe, arrumamos no fim!".

Translate: Sales. That time in year where the stores become market-places, where the clothes that seemed so pretty and packed up are treated like a rag and putted in any way by consumers and even by the salespersons that can’t keep up to the speed of the piles of clothing hanging everywhere and eventually they toss their hands to the air and say “oh what the hell, we arrange this in the end”

Neste post pretendo dar-vos algumas dicas sobre os saldos!

In this post I will give some hints on how to survive the sale season!

1. Estipulem uma lista de desejos - aquelas peças que estiveram a namorar mas que não compraram por serem demasiado caras ou por não valerem aquela quantia monetária podem estar agora a preços bastante apelativos. Façam uma lista dessas peças;)

Set up a wishing list- those clothes that you’ve been “dating” but that you didn’t bought because they were too expensive or because they were not worth that amount of money are now at very good prices. Make a list of the things you want.

2. Cedo...bem cedo...- a melhor maneira de conseguirem apanhar a loja arrumada e sem confusões é de manhã. Para quem conseguir (por flexibilidade de horário, folgas, férias....) as 10h/10h30 da manhã são sem dúvida a melhor altura! Para quem não conseguir, tentem evitar as horas de almoço (especialmente em centros comerciais em zonas de escritórios) e tentem ir mais para o final da tarde

Arrive early…very early.. – the best way to catch the store arranged and clean and without confusion is in the morning. For those who can make it (by flexibility of schedule, clearances or vacations….) the morning hours, soon after the shop or the mall opens is the best time! Try not to go in the hours of lunch, especially if your near an office area. If it’s the only time you have available ask a salesperson were you can find that special item you want so you can save some time.

3. Antecipem a chegada do inverno - sei que é difícil pensar em peças mais quentes com Agosto a "bater à porta" mas esta é a melhor altura para adquirirem peças como camisolas de malha que estão a muito bom preço, são peças que atravessam estações e são geralmente muito mais caras na estação delas! Tentem escolher materiais como cashemira, algodão que duram mais tempo e com cores neutras.

Anticipate the Winter season – I know it’s hard to think about warmer clothes with August “knocking at your door” (at least here in Portugal is when the sun promises to shine a bit more and the heat is more intense) but this is the time to purchase items like sweaters or jersey tops because they are at a very good price and are pieces of clothes that go through years and they are particularly expensive at their time of the year! Try to choose materials like cotton or cashmere that last longer and with neutral colors.

4. Tentem resistir à tentação das novas colecções - ahhh...quem sou eu para dar esta dica? Eu tento ir aos saldos e acabo sempre nas novas colecções! a verdade é que as mulheres são consumidoras visuais e sentimo-nos atraídas por peças arrumadas, estruturadas e imaculadas xD
   Mas! tentem mesmo fugir às novas colecções se o objectivo for ir aos saldos!

Try to resist the temptation of the new season items – aahhh who am I fooling here?! I try to go to the sales department but I always end up at the New season department! The truth is…women are visual consumers and we feel attracted by organized, structured and immaculate pieces! Never the less, try to stick to the sales department if your intention is really just going to sales! xD

5. Descubram o prazer do shopping online! - tem sido a minha preferência nos últimos dois anos. A vantagem de encomendarem as peças pela internet é que a probabilidade de encontrarem o tamanho e a cor que querem de determinada peça é elevada! e para além disso, recebem a peça numa bela caixa, bem empacotada e bonita! Tenho sido fã da Zara, Massimo Dutti e Mango para estas compras, especialmente em épocas de saldos!

Find the pleasure of shopping online – it has been my preference over the past two years. The advantage of ordering the pieces of your local stores by the internet is that the chances of finding the size and the color of a determine piece is high! And besides that you receive your order in a cute box, well packed up! I am a fan of Zara, Massimo Dutti and Mango to do these operations, especially on sale season!
